Dramaturgy, On Your Terms

I offer flexible, affordable dramaturgy for playwrights, directors and performers at any stage of their process. For writers, our time together isn't about me writing your play for you. It's about helping you write the play you set out to write, and discovering your voice as an artist along the way.

We'll talk about what you're trying to make, what's already working, and where you feel stuck. It helps to bring a few questions, but you don't need to know exactly what they are. I'll ask questions of my own, offer my reflections, and suggest practical next steps, so you leave with a clearer sense of your writing and where it's heading.

I also work alongside directors who want an extra pair of eyes, an outside opinion, or support during rehearsals. In my experience, it can help to have someone who bridges the gap between writer and director. As I work full time, I need a fair bit of notice for rehearsals, so please get in touch as early as you can.

Your terms include the price. My approach is flexible, so we can shape the work around what suits you, and if you're unsure what you can afford, we can talk it through together.
